Happy Heritage Day to my South African readers! Hope you've all been enjoying the lovely warm weather today as I have been! I've had this mint Peter Pan dress since December last year, but hadn't yet featured it on the blog. I thought that with Spring being the season for pastels, that this dress was just perfect for ringing in the warm season while playing around in the Wisteria.
This pastel clutch from Mr Price is a lovely touch to the outfit
Sometimes being sick in bed for three days is a wonderful time to catch up on reading blogs, looking at the latest collections from New York and London Fashion Weeks and pinning up a storm on pinterest. Between doing all of that and watching multiple episodes of Friends, I have to say being so sick hasn't been so bad.
Here are a few bits and pieces that I've collected in the last few days -
1. Elle Rising Star Design Award Playback See if you can spot me!
2. Swallows. I am mad about swallows and these beautiful little creatures fill me with so much joy. I'm thinking about having this image printed to be put up in my room
In two weeks today I will be in Paris reuniting with some of my best friends from all over the world. I can't wait!

My face on Mr Price's website
I'm still on quite a high after the Elle Rising Star Design Awards and I was pleasantly surprised to see this picture of me on their website. It brought up lots of happy memories from the night. If you missed my posts about the night you can see them here
Thanks to the immense generosity of Mr Price, I was able to attend theElle Magazinein association with Mr Price Rising Star Awards, on Thursday, 13 September. It truly was a memorable night as not only was I able to be on the pulse of young South African design, something which is very close to my heart, but also Mr Price truly went out of their way to take care of me by providing me with a front row seat to one of the most exciting fashion shows I have ever been to. The whole evening was made even more sweeter, by being able to meet some of the talented names and faces of the South African world who like me, take the nurturing of young South African talent very seriously. After a night like last night, I can honestly say that the future of fashion in South Africa looks very bright indeed! Due to the immense amount of pictures I was able to take thanks to my fantastic seat, I couldn't resist putting up lots of pictures and as is such there are multiple posts focusing on this one wonderful evening. I hope my photographs will do the evening justice, and that you get as excited as I am about local design.
