"Angelheaded Hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night..."
The title is taken from this line of
Allen Ginsberg’s famous poem Howl written in 1955. There may be some
confusion as the term hipster in popular culture often refers to a subculture who
reject mainstream culture and instead embrace and
contribute to independent culture, and pride themselves on this. To be clear, I don't identify with the Hipster movement or style. I don't quite know what my style is and I find that to be incredibly freeing. Instead, I used this
line as the inspiration for this blog because I love the phrase ‘angel headed hipster’. And for those of you who
know me and for others, my hair is somewhat infamous and varies between angel-like, to lion- like and on a very bad day - Tim Minchin-like.
